30th July 2020. ZOOM CALL WITH FORMER MINISTER VINCENZO ZOCCANO ON CHILDHOOD CANCER
Today there has been a private Zoom call including me, Vincenzo Zoccano (former Minister on family and disability), his assistant Matteo D'Abrosca, three mothers (two have lost their kids to cancer) and a young woman currently undergoing tretament for a rare type of cancer. I wanted this call to happen as a step toward my goal of bringin childhood cancer stories and voices to the attention of the government. Lack of funding for childhood cancer; old and harsh tretament plans that often give to kids and young people short or long term side effects; lack of support for children and young people with cancer, their families and charities helping them. At the moment the government isn't doing much to support these families. On the contrary, burocracy makes their lives even harder. During the call we collected real life experiences from these persons. The next step will be setting up a group made by childhood cancer parents, fighters and survivors and lobby the government.

20th July 2020. ZOOM CALL WITH CITIZENS FROM TARANTO TO DENOUNCE THE SITUATION IN THEIR CITY
I have had a public call with some people from Taranto, a city in Southern Italy which is as beautiful as you can image. Sadly, that is not the reason it is famous for. Citizens from Taranto live in costant anxiety and fear because of pollution; they breath polluted air and live among polluted dust created by the local industry called "Ex Ilva". Government violates their basic human rights since many people, including a lot of children and young people, get diagnosed with cancer and other serious illnesses and many of them passe away. Despite these people fight - who goes on from decades - and Italy being convicted by the European Court of Human Rights for the violation of basic human rights the situation has not improved yet. Government seems deaf in front of the many protests and letters organized by citizens. I wanted to realize this public call to give them a voice and fight on their side.
